Seminar with Michal Hájek
On the weekend 19-21 May, our second summer seminar with Hájek sensei, hosted by Dojo Ki, Aikido und Gesundheit Wien, was held.
“After the rain” that had deluged much Europe over several days, the weather turned fine and pleasant.
Participants from the Vienna dojo had the opportunity to meet and practice with experienced and high standard guests from Nuremberg, Zagreb and Komárno.
Lunch and evening programmes were also organised. We enjoyed lunch at a Japanese restaurant (Matcha Komachi) on Saturday and rested in the evening at a local Heuriger (wine garden).
On Sunday after practice a picnic was arranged on the Wilhelminen Hill, above the district where our dojo is located in the West of the Vienna, in the grounds of castle and overlooking vinyards and the cityscape.
Friday evening practice was held in the Garage Grande Dojo and the seminar then proceeded in a nearby Karate dojo, with a higher ceiling suitable for bokken and jo studies.
We express our deep gratitude to Hájek sensei for his fascinating and innovative insights and look forward to organising the next seminar.
